Job Title: Sr. IT Project Manager

Job duration: 40 Hours / Week, Permanent position, Full time                              

Job Duties: Initiate, plan, organize and execute information systems and software development projects. Develop and maintain an agreed plan and detailed stage plans including exception plans. Create, understand, and validate the work breakdown structure and accurately estimate the effort for each module/task. Set clear expectations for developers, DBAs, engineers, business SMEs and stakeholders. Manage production of   required business and technical project artifacts and deliverables. Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans. Liaise with Program. Manager and related projects to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated. Monitor overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary. Apply change control and configuration management processes. Maintain awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact. Adopt and apply appropriate technical and quality strategies and standards. Identify and obtain support and advice required for the management, planning, and control of the project. Manage project administration. Conduct a project evaluation review to assess how well the project was managed. Prepare any follow-on action recommendations. Establish a good working relationship with the project stakeholders and sponsors. Direct, manage and motivate the project team. Understand and apply business case and risk management processes. Support the Project planning process for next year and budgeting. Plan and manage deployment of physical and financial resources to meet project milestones. Build and sustain effective communications with other roles involved in the project. Apply quality management principles and processes. Conduct regular status meetings with the team members to review the progress of the projectw.r.t. the plans. Plan and monitor the project, develop and maintain an agreed plan and detailed stage plans. Manage the production of the required artifacts and deliverables. Prepare and maintain project, stage and exception plans as required.

Job Requirements: Required Master’s or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Engineering (Any), or any related field + 1 year of experience in the job offered, Software Engineer, Programmer, IT Analyst, or related. Must be able to travel/relocate to unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S.

We are looking for a web programmer analyst who will participate in analysis and design of computer web applications, provide coding, testing, documentation and implementation support for web application development projects driven by client business needs. You will also work with other web developers (mostly contractors) optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary, and establishing best practices. You will help solve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Create web applications to provide assistance to the existing (maintenance, improvements or others)
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases for all types of websites
• Prepare documentations and specifications
• Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
• Perform specific well-defined assignments as part of client-side project team or work independently on various web projects
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Work closely with the clients in order to understand their website and digital marketing needs (requirements gathering)
• Provide support for Production and for the Operations group
• Create a detailed design for the web application components according to requirements
• Follow the best practices and trends in website design and development for the company
• Complete any other tasks such as SEO, etc imposed, for which he or she qualifies

Skills and qualities:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, business, or field. Master’s degree preferred.
